Medication Technician |
A Head Start on Your Health Care Career!
Working as a Medication Technician is an excellent way to get a head-start on your health care career. Orchard Heights Assisted Living Residence provides on-site training, co-worker development, and unique benefits. We have a hands-on approach to geriatric health care and offer flexible hours to accommodate your schedule and/or academic responsibilities. Regular reports and discussions with the Director of Nursing will help you to increase your knowledge of geriatric nursing.
Our Medical Technicians take an active part in the medical care of our residents. They pay careful attention to physicians’ orders, administer medication, supervise personal care aides, perform resident assessments, communicate with physicians, and fastidiously check that proper procedures are followed at all times. Working at Orchard Heights, you will have the daily satisfaction of caring for others with kindness and respect.
Prior completion of a Medication Technician certificate program is required; however, applicants who do not have this certification may apply for Personal Care Assistant (PCA) positions. After completion of at least six months of service at Orchard Heights, PCAs are eligible to apply for our free Medication Technician training program.
Previous Medication Technician experience, adult care experience or memory care expertise are advantages, but not necessary. We warmly welcome the applications of nursing students.
Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts can be arranged for qualified candidates. Holiday shifts are rotated.

Personal Care Assistant |

We have a hands-on approach to geriatric health care and offer flexible hours to accommodate your schedule.
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide nursing care to residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing and Personal Care. You will have the daily satisfaction of caring for others with kindness and respect. Personal Care Assistants report any changes in resident status to the appropriate charge person. These reports and the discussions you will have with the Director of Nursing help you to increase your knowledge of geriatric nursing.
With further training, Personal Care Assistants can advance into the position of Medical Technician. After completion of at least six months of service at Orchard Heights, PCAs are eligible to apply for our free Medication Technician training program.

This is your chance to shine. Our newest culinary team member will be a creative and positive individual who is eager to implement fresh ideas. Orchard Heights offers: the opportunity to develop your skills in a state-of-the-art kitchen; an exceptionally friendly and supportive work environment; a beautiful, country-club-like atmosphere. Our menu balances elegant dishes with traditional and ethnic comfort foods; all are served with impressive flair.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with seniors and feel comfortable with any style of cooking. Hours are flexible and can include days, evenings, and weekends. Quantity cooking or catering experience is preferred. Sanitation and food production experience is required. Position can be full- or part-time.

Hands-On Hospitality and Service Experience!
At Orchard Heights you will have direct interaction with first-class chefs, our entire culinary and nutritional team, and your customers. You will have set hours and a set pay . . . so you won't have to worry about tips or unforeseen hours, as you would in a restaurant. We offer flexible hours that accommodate your schedule.
You will assist the cook with the serving of entrees and beverages in a restaurant-style atmosphere. You will gain experience in the assembly of hot and cold beverages, salads, and special sandwiches. Other duties include: service preparation; serving meals; busing, sanitizing, and resetting tables, refilling condiments; and maintaining dining room cleanliness.
Day, evening, weekday, and weekend shifts available.
