"I began working in the Recreation Department at Orchard Heights in October, 2004. It is truly a great place to work. The facility is bright and cheery, but what impresses me the most is the kindness and caring I witness every single day. The staff is very upbeat and always ready to put the needs of our guests first. They are supportive of their fellow employees, and are always willing to help out wherever they can. This attitude starts in the front office and filters through the building. My immediate supervisor, Lee Watson, is receptive to new ideas, and always lets us know that our input and effort is appreciated. She genuinely cares about the people at Orchard Heights, both residents and staff. The guests I am privileged to work with are wonderful individuals with a wealth of knowledge and a penchant for sharing their life experiences and making their home a pleasant place to live. It is extremely rewarding to be able to make life a bit nicer for someone else. At Orchard Heights, I am able to do that on a daily basis."

"Orchard Heights, what a great place to work. I am part of a fabulous team of cooks. Combined, we have 33+ years serving Orchard Heights. The stability and consistency of our department translates into a friendly, family-like atmosphere. The one person most directly responsible for my loyalty to Orchard heights is my supervisor, Culinary Director Jennifer Giardina. She has worked with me as my availability has changed. The flexible work schedule allows me to be a stay at home mom and raise my 2 children. Jennifer's high energy level brings out the best in her employees. She can be very inspirational and motivating. I also enjoy seeing our residents. It's nice to know that we can, and do quite often, make a difference to the people who call Orchard Heights home."

| "I enjoy being with the residents. When I work in the front office, I always open my door so that I am near them. We have a very homelike atmosphere here. It rarely feels like a business. You have a lot of people giving their all, all the time. There’s always joke, a smile, and an occasional tear. Someone always has a moment to spare for you. It’s like going from home to home. "
